Hello There 202Love Fam,
I hope all is well and this message finds you in good health and in good spirits!
Since we are fam, you know I have to tell you what's going on at 202Love. You make it all happen anyway!
A couple of Sundays ago, we did our first in person vendor event. My beloved alma mater, Southern University- Dallas Alumni Chapter hosted a Vendor Pop Up Day Party and we were one of the vendors. Check out the pics below! We had a great time telling the 202Love story, talking about Girls That S.P.A.R.K. and networking with other businesses and organizations.
For our booth,
We had positive affirmation cards packaged in a pouch with candy as giveaways.
We set up a "Letters To My Younger Self" activity. It was a hit. We asked guests to leave notes, words of wisdom and/or lessons learned for the girls in our upcoming Girls That S.P.A.R.K. retreat. The letters are great and I can't wait to read them to the girls.
We had a QR code for those to apply for GTS and 202Love info for those who wanted to learn more and subscribe
We connected with a Speech Therapist, Yoga/Wellness instructor along with teachers, church leaders, speakers and business owners who expressed interest in sponsorships!
I am proud to say that it was something special to see 202Love live and in action. Its been in my heart, head and on these whiteboards in my office for a while. To share the message and see it resonate with people and hear them say they actually get it and see the need was beyond words! It just affirmed the work we are doing and what's to come. Special thanks to my board members, Princella and Javona, for coming out. Our new volunteer, Alexis, came out as well!
We are continuing to prepare for the GTS retreat. Items are still coming in. Final speakers, menus and agendas are being finalized. Location already secured. Send up prayers for Sept 9-10 that we have a fun, successful and impactful kick off retreat that leads to a great inaugural Fall 22 Girls That S.P.A.R.K class!
